Kenny Sang is the senior instructor at Coban’s Muay Thai. He has an extensive background in martial arts comprised of over 20 years. He has been training and competing in various martial arts such as Western boxing and kickboxing, Thai boxing, Taekwondo, Hapkido, BJJ, and Shaolin Kung-fu. Throughout his training, his martial arts journey led him to train abroad to China at the famed Shaolin temple and over to Thailand as well.
Looking to refine his skills even further, his quest led him to Coban Lookchaomaesaithong. He has been training with Coban since the opening day of his West 35th street gym back in 2012. Under Ajarn Coban’s tutelage, he has advanced and honed his skills in traditional Muay Thai. Kenny is honored to be a member of Team Coban and even more so, to be able to guide students in the way that Coban has guided him.
Jake is a lifelong martial artist and fitness trainer with years of experience in several different arts, including BJJ, MMA, Western Boxing and Tae Kwon Do. Over the past decade, he has concentrated specifically on Muay Thai, and he has been a student under Coban since 2014. Jake has several competitions under his belt and travels to Thailand regularly to sharpen his skills. His style of coaching has a strong focus on technique, as he believes that a solid foundation in technique is key, allowing speed and power to follow. He also incorporates aspects of fitness outside of the gym, such as running, strength training and proper nutrition, in order to get the most out of training while inside the gym. Jake is a proud member of Team Coban and enjoys teaching students the Thai style of the camp.
